Our experience with large developers has given us an invaluable insight into the complex interdisciplinary relationships involved in the village-making process. We’ve also developed an extensive knowledge base around generic built form typologies that characterise village buildings, as well as an in-depth understanding of urban design principles. This combination of experience, expertise and knowledge means we are able to work in partnership with other consultants to create concepts that evolve organically, inspired by locally sourced ‘genetic material’, instead of being dictated by policy. It’s a methodology that leads to unique and clearly defined village visions that result in greatly enriched communities.
